Zafiro Pappas, 90, known as "Teddy" to her family and friends, passed away on August 26th, 2017. She died of age related complications. Born in Boston, the daughter of immigrants, she has been a lifelong resident of The Commonwealth, having spent the past 63 years living in the town of Walpole. She was both a talented artist and gifted storyteller and always sharp as a tack.
She is predeceased by her husband, Leo Pappas and siblings George Hantis, Ann Droukas and Perri Hantis. Teddy was a loving mother to her daughter and primary caregiver Lisa, son Craig as well as the adoring grandmother to Aidan and Nora.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 2-5 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Funeral Home Service will follow the gathering at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Walpole Area VNA, Attn: Finance Office, P.O. Box 252, Walpole, MA 02081.
