Zachary Jace Allen, age 24, passed away in his New York City home on Sunday, April 24, 2016. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 16, 1991, he was raised in the Mission Hill area of Boston and attended Saint Mary's of the Assumption School in Brookline. He went on to attend Roxbury Preparatory Charter School before beginning his high school education at Noble and Greenough School in Dedham. While at Nobles, Zach was a dedicated member of the school's football team, holding the position of defensive lineman, winning 3 Independent School League Championships. However, the highlight of his football career was winning the Superbowl his senior year. After graduating in 2009, Zach was accepted into Roanoke College, where he began working toward his Bachelor's Degree. He joined the Pi Lamb Brotherhood, forming strong friendships, and loved playing Intermural Lacrosse, while studying at Roanoke. Zach graduated in 2013 after earning his Bachelor's Degree with double majors in Business Administration.
Zach returned home to East Walpole, Massachusetts after graduation, where he took great pride in assuming the position of family grill master, making the juiciest hamburgers, fantastic steaks and had just began his study of perfecting grilled chicken. On Autumn Sundays, he could be found surrounded by his family watching his beloved New England Patriots, chanting "In Bill We Trust." Zach and his Dad would spend countless hours discussing football from the plays called on the field to next years draft options. Football was not Zach's only passion, he also loved keeping up on fashion treads, to ensure he always looked his best. He and his Mom would spend time shopping at Orivs or Brooks Brothers followed by going to lunch together. Of course his sense of style would not be complete without the appropriate car, Dad's BMW.
From a young age, Zach always enjoyed reading about all topics, his favorites being Harry Potter and A Serious of Unfortunate Events. As he got older, he incorporated his knowledge into lively conversations about just about anything. As an avid golfer, he could always be seen wearing his Master's hat and always tried to get his family to watch major golf tournaments with him.
In 2014, Zach moved to New York City to take an advertising position with Batten, Barton, Durstine & Osborn (BBDO). His love for his hometown team did not change however, as he always found a way to watch the Patriots play on Sundays, which led to numerous phone calls back and forth to his Parents.
Zachary will forever be remembered as brilliant, respectful, loving and caring, a man who always greeted you with a smile that would light up the room and a firm handshake or enveloping hug.
