Winifred Ann Moore

Winifred Ann (Rieger) Moore, age 80, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Saint Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 19, 1944, she was the daughter of Otto J. and Winifred (DeCoste) Rieger.

Winifred was a life long resident of Walpole, Massachusetts where she attended the local public schools. After her graduation from Walpole High School with the class of 1962, she attended hair dressing school. Winifred made a career as a hair dresser until she welcomed her daughter Tanya with her husband John. As her daughter grew, Winifred returned to the workforce, serving as a machine operator at Henry S. Wolkins. Later in life, she would assist her brother with running his business at Norfolk Buy and Sell.

In her free time, Winifred enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved attending get togethers, especially her favorite 4th of July cookouts. Winifred enjoyed the holidays as a result, looking forward to any chance to be with those she adored. At home, Winifred enjoyed crocheting and never found a word search she couldn't complete. She also enjoyed meeting her friends to play Bingo.
