William Joseph Walsh age 81 years died on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 in East Walpole. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 8, 1926 to his parents William & Bridget (Reddick) Walsh, he graduated from South Boston High School with the Class of 1944. Mr. Walsh had been living in East Walpole for the past year and a half coming from West Roxbury where he lived for 35 years
Mr. Walsh served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. After he was honorably discharged from the Navy, Mr. Walsh joined the United States Army.
Most recently Mr. Walsh was a Federal Police sergeant working in the West Roxbury Veterans Administraition Hospital.
He enjoied watching the Red Sox, and especially enjoied spending time with his children and grandchildren
Beloved husband of Louise Marie (Leo) Walsh. Loving father of Lynn A. and her husband Dan J. Logan of E. Walpole, Karen A. Walsh of W. Roxbury. Cherished grandfather of Brian, Joseph, Michael, William Logan of E. Walpole. Brother of Sr. Celine Walsh of NY, Trudi Sullivan of Sharon, Marion Noble of NY, Jeanette Lehman of Canton, the late Walter Walsh. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral that will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Church E. Walpole on Friday, August 10, 2007 @ 9AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, August 9, 2007 from 4-7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne.
