William T. Shaheen

September 22, 1931 — February 1, 2011

William T. Shaheen age 79 years died in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 22, 1931; he was the son of the late Thomas and Nasima Shaheen. Bill graduated from Boston Latin High School with the class of 1948. After high school, Bill proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, from 1951 to 1953. He was a long time resident of Walpole, Massachusetts, living there for the past 45 years. Previously, he had lived in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Bill worked for 35 years for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company as a Financial Advisor and later as a Branch Manager.

He was a member of the Shriners of North America at the Valley Grand Lodge in Boston since 1973.

Most of all, Bill enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and his dog Maggie.

Beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Devine) Shaheen. Loving father of Debra Bering of Walpole, Denise Giandomenico of Falmouth, Diana Harwood of Plainville, William Shaheen of Colorado, John Shaheen of New Jersey, and the late Dawn Shaheen. Cherished Jidoo of 12 and great Jidoo of 2. Brother of Samuel Shaheen of West Roxbury, Mary Abraham of Falmouth, Eleanor Diaute of Westboro, the late Nora Kalil, the late George Shaheen, and the late Louis Shaheen. Also survived by his adoring sidekick, Maggie.
