William O. Koehler, Jr.

William O. Koehler Jr. passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Beaumont Nursing home in Northbridge, MA, living to the age of 89.
 
He was born February 4, 1930 at Norwood Hospital and lived at 20 High Plain St. in Walpole.  He served three years in the Army Air Force, four years in the Naval Reserve, and was 16 months active duty.  Marrying Marilyn on August 31, 1956, they had 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys.  He was President of  Koehler Industries Inc., which was started by his parents William O. and Sophie E. Koehler.  Thereafter he was the maintenance person for SNARC, repairing homes for developmentally disabled citizens for 18 years before retiring.  His remaining years were spent living in Sutton, MA with his daughter Diane and son-in-law Russell.  William is preceded in death by his parents and son David, he is survived by his wife Marilyn, and children Larry, Cindy, and Diane, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
 
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 2 to 4 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A funeral will be held Monday, October 7, at the Knollwood Park Welcome Center, 321 High St. Canton, MA., 10:00 am.  No flowers please, any donations should be given to the Disabled American Veterans of Massachusetts State House, Room 546, Boston, MA 02133, or at DAVMA.org.
