Together, Bill and Nancy created a beautiful marriage that lasted 54 years. The couple enjoyed traveling to Bermuda, exploring the many vineyards of Virginia, and yearly driving expeditions to destinations including Stowe, Vermont where they honeymooned and to North Carolina to spend time with their son, Peter.
One of Bill’s greatest passions was his lifetime love of golf. During college, he was a member of the Boston College Golf team. Bill’s most favorite time of the year was his annual vacation to Onawa, Maine with his extended family where he enjoyed completing challenging puzzles, boating, and hiking, large family dinners, and nightly competitive card games with whomever he could convince to play. He was an avid storyteller, had an affection for reminiscing about the good old days, and had a strong fondness for telling bad puns whenever he was given the chance.
