William Edward Christy

MR. WILLIAM EDWARD CHRISTY AGE 72 YEARS DIED ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 3RD, 2005 IN THE STANLEY TIPPETT HOUSE IN NEEDHAM. BORN IN Brooklyn, New York, he was raised in New Jersey, graduating from North Plainfield High School with the class of 1950. (New Jersey).

Mr. Christy entered into the United States Army and served his country as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict.

Upon his return to the United States, he worked over 35 years for the Prudential Insurance Company and retired in 1993 as an Auditor for them.

Bill was the Past President of the Walpole Pop Warner Football League, and was an assistant coach in the 1980 for the Orioles in the Walpole Little League.

Beloved husand of 38 years of Patricia A. (McCarthy) Christy Devoted father of Brian W. and his wife Kelley Christy of Walpole, Stephen F. Christy and Kerry Graham of Walpole, and Shawn "Robert" Christy of Norwood Cherished grandfather of James "Jake" Christy and Kayla Christy both of Walpole Brother of Eileen Fuller of New Jersey Brother in law to Roberta Kosack of Duxbury, Carol Chemelski of Bangor, Maine, and Diane DiPlacido of Middleton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Church Walpole on Thursday , September 8th, 2005 @ 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday afternoon 4 to 8pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Francis Cemetery Walpole. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to: St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis , Tennessee 38105.
