William Gaver "Will" Annunciata, age 26, passed away peacefully in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday, May 26, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newton, Massachusetts on September 10, 1990, he was the son of Rich Annunciata and Connie Gaver. He was raised in Milford, Massachusetts and attended Milford Public Schools. In 2004, Will moved with his family to Medfield and began attending Medfield High School, before moving to Norfolk in 2007.
Will always had an interest in technology and worked at Luxsci as a customer service specialist, software engineer, and technical support representative, starting at age 14. He also worked for Call & Wait Auto/The Foot Truck, as their website administrator. After returning to Medfield in 2010, Will enrolled in the Massachusetts Bay Community College, where he completed his studies in 2012. He settled back in Norfolk and began taking classes to earn his Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at the Parker Driving School with four endorsements. He began taking classes at Bridgewater State University and moved to Salem, Massachusetts in 2014 and took a position with OPSView as a product support engineer. In 2015, Will earned a Red Hat Certification in Linux Systems and moved to Hubbardston, Massachusetts. Once he settled in Raleigh North Carolina in 2016, he took a job with BandWidth as a Senior Systems Engineer.
While his professional career focused on technology, he was most passionate about motor vehicles, especially school buses. While working at the Foot, under Ron Danley, he became very interested in mechanics and enjoyed working with diesel engines and any vehicle with a manual transmission. Over the course of his life he owned many vehicles, however his absolute favorites were his two school buses and his Chevrolet Suburbans. His passion for vehicles did not end with four wheels on the road, but went on to extend to demolition derbies as well as mopeds and motorcycles.
Most of all, Will loved having fun, whether on a road trip or just spending time with his family and friends. He took several road trips throughout the country including a Mid-West trip in 2012 and an East Coast trip in 2015, both times to visit his brother, Rich. During the trips, Will blasted 80s music and always made time for a stop for a Wendy's Dave Double Hamburger or a good glass of bourbon or whiskey. He had an odd and unusual love for antiquated media platforms and could be found at area flea markets searching for a good deal on a broken projector television, VHS player, or video game systems.
Devoted son of Connie Gaver and Domenic Sionne of Norfolk and C. Rich Annunciata and his wife Joyce of Cotuit.
Loving brother of Richard Annunciata of Sarasota, Florida and Kerri DePrisco of Brockton.
Cherished grandson of Concetta Gaver of Norfolk, the late William J. Gaver, and the late Charles and Gertrude Annunciata.
Also survived by his girlfriend Hillary Wooten of Dunn, North Carolina.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Will's Life Celebration on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 3-8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
