We are sad to announce Wayne David Levesque, of Norfolk, MA formerly of Lawrence MA, passed away Sunday May 7th, 2023, at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
Wayne was born on May 29, 1972, in Lawrence MA and was the son of the late Wayne C. Lefebvre, of Luling, LA. Survived by his Mother Yvonne Marie Levesque of Norfolk MA., his Loving Sister Suzanne Marie Dalton and Partner Colleen Hurley, both of Norfolk, MA, Brother Michael John Levesque of Norfolk MA. His Niece and Godchild Brittany Sousa of Freemont, NH. His late Grandparents David and Meralda Levesque from Twin Rivers, Quebec and resided in Lawrence MA. His longtime partner and Friend John Saez, of Hyde Park, MA. He Also leaves behind a long list of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends and his Fur Babies Ruby, Penny and Max.
Wayne was raised in Lawrence Ma and graduated from Lawrence High School. He worked as a longtime manager with Osco Drug, Shaw’s and Papa Gino’s.
He was the youngest of three siblings which shaped his sharp sense of humor, his empathy for others and his strength of character. Being the youngest he was spoiled not only by his immediate family but also Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and friends alike. Wayne will always be our baby. Wayne was a straightforward guy and told it like it is and always in a way that made you laugh. He never wanted to be the center of attention and only when talking one to one did you get to know Wayne and his infectious personality.
Wayne had many passions as he was an avid collector which started with Star Wars. This would lead him to a lifetime of many unique collections. His love of horror movies which started with the Sunday afternoon tradition of Creature Double Feature, Hammi Sandwiches- mayonnaise, sweet Pickles, and Doritos with his Mom, Sister and Brother.
Wayne could speak on any subject; it was a delight to sit and talk with him. He was entertaining, a prankster, and a storyteller. We promise to continue to share his stories.
Wayne had a great love of music and created his own DJ company “The DJ Guy” out of Lawrence MA. He played at many functions and was the “Guy” for family weddings, parties, celebrations. His skill and inane sense of playing the right music for the occasion allowed him to excel in this field for many years.
Wayne also loved baking and cooking. His sought after Pumkin Pie’s were legendary. We also enjoyed his “Wayne Loaf” – the best meatloaf ever! He liked to try new recipes as well as creating new recipes.
Wayne you will be truly missed by everyone who knows you. We love and treasure you. You will always be in our hearts.
Rest in peace and thank you for being a Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend. We love and treasure you.
