Walter P. LaCivita

Mr. Walter P. "Waddy" LaCivita age 90 years died in the Newton Wellesley Hospital , Newton, Massachusetts on Thursday, January 1st, 2009. Born in his parents home in East Walpole on November 11, 1918, to his parents Guiseppe and Carmela (Iannamorelli) LaCivita. He graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1939. He entered into the United States Army and served his country during World War II as a Staff Sargeant. He earned two Bronze Stars. He returned to East Walpole and was a life long resident of the town. Former member of the Walpole Rotary Club. He enjoyed traveling to Florida , especially Key West. His life at home centered around his family, his vegetable garden and his woodworking. Most recently he was involved with the Julia Ruth House in Westwood. Mr. LaCivita was a builder for all of his life. He would say he was just a carpenter, however , he was a developer, general contractor, builder. He was the owner and operator of Walter P. LaCivita Builder-Contactor.

Beloved husband of the late Rose M. (Toti) LaCivita Loving father of Sandra L. Daly of Halifax, Walter P. and his wife Diane LaCivita, Jr of East Walpole, Nancy and her husband Frank Wilhelm,Jr., Jean L. and her husband of Michael O'Brien all=2 0of Mansfield, Susan LaCivita and her husband Drew Gibbons and Philip LaCivita all of East Walpole Cherished grandfather of Diane Lynch, Sean Daly, Clint LaCivita, Jaimie Daly, Heather Holland, Nicholas LaCivita, Michael Wilhelm, Daniel and Abigail O'Brien. Great grandfather of Brian and Kristen Lynch, Skylar and Alissa Daly, and Kaitlyn Holland Brother of Louis LaCivita of Attleboro, Theresa Collard of Plainville, Charles LaCivita of East Walpole, Rose Santoro of Branford, Ct. the late Tony LaCivita, Mary Valerio, Frankie LaCivita, Pauline Yadisernia, Annie Ayer, Johnny LaCivita, Jimmy LaCivita and Eleanor Bernard. Trusted caregivers Becky Littlewood, Eileen Cogavin, Dorothy Vitale, and Leslie Storer. His Loyal Black Lab Colby Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route #27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Tuesday, January 6, 20 09 @ 11AM. Visiting hours are Monday, January 5, 2009, from 4pm to 8pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole.
