Walter Joseph Gould

Walter Joseph Gould, age 78, peacefully passed away on October 22, 2024 at his home in Walpole, Massachusetts, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Winthrop, Massachusetts on May 25, 1946, he was the son of Irving and Eva B. (Weiner) Gould. Walter was raised in Winthrop, where he attended the local public schools. 

After his graduation from Winthrop High School with the class of 1964, Walter continued his education at Northeastern University in Boston, majoring in Finance. He used the lessons learned in college to build a career in credit management, working at firms such as Parker Brothers, Town & Country Jewelers, and Trimark United East. In 2023, Walter retired from Trimark after more than two decades of dedicated service.

Walter was happiest when surrounded by family. He loved taking his grandkids on day trips, weekends down the Cape, going out for ice cream, or just sitting in the yard. Walter loved BBQ, College Football & a nice glass of Scotch. He was The Red Wings Diner's best customer, a love that he introduced to and shared with his grandkids.

Beloved brother of Kenneth Gould and his wife Harriet Gould of Delray Beach, Florida.

At the request of Walter's family, immediate services will be private. A memorial celebration of life will be held in May of 2025.
