Virginia C. Grosso

Virginia C. (Bianchini) Grosso age 87 years died in her Norwood, Massachusetts home in Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Born in Franklin, Massachusetts on April 30, 1923; she was the daughter of the late Herman J. and Beatrice C. (Joyal) Bianchini. She graduated from Franklin High School with the class of 1940 and later graduated from the Wilford Academy in Boston with the class of 1943. She has been a resident of Norwood, Massachusetts since 1947.

Mrs. Grosso owned and operated Virginia's Beauty Shop in Norwood.

She was a member of the Sons of Italy, the Thursday morning Norwood Senior Mix Bowling League, and enjoyed dancing for 20 years with the Norwood Irregulars.

Beloved wife of Fred F. Grosso. Loving mother of Fred F. "Butch" Grosso of Mansfield, Susan Sopel of Torrence, CA, Mary Ellen Cunningham and Thomas Grosso both of Mansfield. Cherished grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 2. Sister of Therese Weiss of Pheonix, AZ and the late Gloria Okieneski.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Catherine of Siena Church Route Washington Street (Route 1A) at Nahatan Street Norwood on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 9AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 5PM to 8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
