Virginia E. Cullen

Virginia E. (Doyle) Cullen age 79 years died in the Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on October 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Mary (Gazzola) Doyle. She graduated from Attleboro High School with the class of 1950 and later graduated from Catherine Gibbs School in Providence with the class of 1951. She has been living in Walpole, Massachusetts since 1954 moving there from Attleboro.

Mrs. Cullen worked as a secretary for Walpole High School, Norwood Hospital, and the Sweet Manufacturing Company.

She was a member of the Walpole Woman's Club.

Mrs. Cullen enjoyed knitting, downhill skiing, cooking, square dancing, sewing, and traveling. Most of all she lovedspending time with her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of Francis J. Cullen and the late Roy E. Alexander. Loving mother of Judith A. and her husband Jack Conroy of Walpole, Jane and her husband John Rhoads of Foxboro, and Robert and his wife Laura Alexander of Rumney, NH. Cherished grandmother of Leigh Ann, Christine, Susan, Peter, and David Conroy, Stephen, Kevin, and Virginia Rhoads, and Brian and Jason Alexander.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Friday, December 9, 2011 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
