Vincent J. McIsaac

December 2, 1945 — June 4, 2021

Vincent J. McIsaac, age 75, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 2, 1945, he was the son of the late Archie and Helena (Keough) McIsaac.  He was raised by the late Edward and Helen Letourneau in East Walpole, Massachusetts, where he attended Walpole High School.  Following his graduation in 1963, Vinnie enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War.  He was stationed aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Enterprise (CVA(N)65), working as a data systems technician.  Upon his honorable discharge on November 11, 1966, Vinnie returned to his hometown of East Walpole and quickly found a job at EPSCO in Norwood.

While working at EPSCO, Vinnie met his wife to be, Susan M. Delaney.  They were married on September 26, 1971 in Saint Mary's Church in East Walpole and made their first home together in Norwood.  Two years later, Vinnie and Sue settled into their home in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where they raised their four children.

In 1970 he sought out an apprentice position in HVAC and joined the Sheetmetal Workers Union, Local 17, in Boston.  Throughout his years with the union, Vinnie worked in several locations throughout the Boston area, including the Limbach Company in Boston and C.P. Blouin Company in Canton.  Vinnie officially retired in 2004, after 33 years of hard work with the union.

When Vinnie retired and people asked him what he did, his reply was ‘anything I want!’ This meant more time could be spent perfecting his golf game, and he looked forward to his Thursday nights at Heather Hill Country Club hitting the links with his buddies from Walpole.  When he wasn't on the golf course, Vinnie enjoyed playing Sudoku, traveling with family and friends, trying his luck at area casinos, and going to local wineries with his wife, Sue, by his side. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, who honored him with the nickname "Buppa” and they enjoyed many years of Storyland/Santa’s Village trips.

Beloved husband of Susan M. (Delaney) McIsaac.  Loving father of Joe E. McIsaac and his wife, Erica, of Yarmouth Port, Kristy M. Peterson and her husband, Kenny, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, Maureen M. Melon and her husband, Carlos, of Hopkinton, and Katie R. Moniz and her husband, Mike, of Warwick, Rhode Island.  Cherished grandfather of Maggie, Sophie, Emma, Sammy, Colin, Connor, Amanda, Morgan, Brandon, and Baby Moniz who is on the way.  Brother of Mary McIsaac of Boston, the late Archie J. McIsaac, Jr. and his late wife, Barbara, the late Aidan P. McIsaac, and the late Stephen P. McIsaac and his surviving wife, Monique, of Milford.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Vinnie's Life Celebration on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 2 to 5 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.  The family requests visitors wear their favorite golf attire (ie. shorts, golf shirts, t-shirts, etc.) to honor Vinnie’s love for the game.

A Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary’s Church, 176 Washington Street, East Walpole on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 10:30 AM.  Interment will take place privately.
