Tony W. Anzlovar

October 28, 1924 — March 5, 2014

Tony W. Anzlovar, age 89 years, died in his Walpole, Massachusetts home on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Born in Marianna, Pennsylvania on October 28, 1924, he was the son of the late Frank and Agnes (Papesh) Anzlovar. He graduated from Union High School in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania with the class of 1942. After high school, Tony proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was stationed in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre of Operations and took place in the Occupation of Japan. He has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for the past 68 years moving from Pennsylvania.

Tony worked for many years as an appliance repairman at Sam's Appliances in Norwood.

He loved Polka Music and taught himself to play both the accordion and the harmonica, and as an avid golfer, he had multiple hole in one shots. Tony was a great handy man and took great pride in the up keep of his home in Walpole. Most important to Tony was his family, he loved making his annual trip to see his relatives in Pennsylvania, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of Mary A. (Petrovick) Anzlovar. Loving father of Anthony F. Anzlovar and his wife Pam of Norfolk, Edward J. Anzlovar and his wife Debbie of Walpole, Nancy A. Palmer and her husband Tom of Franklin, and the late Carolyn A. Anzlovar. Cherished grandfather of Craig A. Anzlovar of Brookline, Eric M. Anzlovar of Foxboro, Todd M. Anzlovar of Brookline, Jonathan E. Anzlovar of Plainville, Jarrod M. Anzlovar of Dedham, and Kirstin L. Palmer of Franklin. Brother of Wanda Papciak of PA, Alberta Anzlovar of PA, Theresa Anzlovar of PA, the late Frank Anzlovar and the late Stanley Anzlovar.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Tony's Life Celebration on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 9-11 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
