Born in Walpole to Anna Louise (Dean) (1907 - 1994) and William Thomas Griffin (1904 - 1945). He was the second youngest of six children, all preceding him in death: John Francis Griffin (7/12/29 - 12/9/2009), Dorothy Ann (Griffin) Miller Burgess (12/9/30 - 6/29/12), William Charles Griffin (9/7/32 - 6/16/16), Jane Patricia (Griffin) Russau (9/22/35 - 7/29/15) and Joseph Anthony Griffin (6/20/44 - 9/23/14).
He attended Norwood High School, and joined the US Navy in 1957. Tom worked as a roofer for many years. He most recently lived in Norwood Housing on Hill Street. He passed after a brief illness at the Edith Nourse Veterans Hospital, Hospice Unit, in Bedford, MA.
Tom leaves a daughter, Donna Marie (Griffin) Dziedzic, her husband, James, three grandchildren, Melanie Griffin Butler, Matthew and Michael Dziedzic, and three great grandchildren, all in Maryland.
Many thanks to family who surrounded him with love til the very end, especially Marilyn, Tim and Jill Griffin and Anna Russau.
Tom will be missed by many. He was a simple, yet complex, person; strong and caring, tough and gentle.

"Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday." John Wayne
