Thomas W. Boughter

Thomas W. Boughter age 77 years died in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Friday, January 20, 2012. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 7, 1934, he was the son of the late Edwin P. and Catherine (Fitzgerald) Boughter. He graduated from Boston Technical High School with the class of 1951. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for the past 5 years moving there from West Roxbury, where he lived for over 40 years.

Mr. Boughter was a truck driver for the Teamsters Union Local 25 in Boston and he worked as a security guard at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, retiring in 2007.

He was an avid walker and Boston Sports fan, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of Stephanie C. (Lavin) Boughter. Loving father of Deborah A. McColgan of Dedham, Thomas W. Boughter, Jr. of Stoughton, Edwin P. Boughter of Norwood, Michelle M. Lynch of Walpole, and Carol A. Boughter of Boston. Cherished grandfather of Sean, Moira, Taylor, Christopher, Ami, Erika, Stephen, Victoria, and Peter. Brother of Helene Mann of NY, Alan Boughter of Medford, Catherine Cronin of Devens, Jean Courtade of IL, the late Edwin Boughter, and the late Virginia Bridges. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Church 420 High Street Dedham on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
