Theodore F. Tucker

Mr. Theodore F. "Ted" Tucker age 92 years died on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in Meredith, New Hampshire. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on January 29, 1921, the son of the late Herbert and Mabel (Barr) Tucker.

A summer resident of Center Harbor, NH since 1966 and resident of Epsom, NH for the past year moving from Walpole where he lived since 1946. Mr. Tucker served his country in the United States Army during World War II. A Certified Public Accountant who retired 1983, having worked for the Charles D. Rittenhouse - Boston, Touche Ross a'" Boston, and Deloitte Touche a'" Boston.

Mr. Tucker was the 1991 Willis D. McLean Citizen of the Year and a member of the Walpole Chamber of Commerce for many years, a founding member of the Walpole Scholarship Foundation, member of the Board of Directors of the Norfolk Lung Association, Treasurer of the United Church for over 40 years, Treasurer of the Black Cat Island Civic Association, a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Norwood Hospital and active with the Neponset Valley Health System, active with Harvard Business School. He served the Town of Walpole as a member of the Walpole Appropriations Committee.

A golfer, traveler, an avid reader, he loved boating and sailing.

Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Steele) Tucker. Loving father of David A. and his wife Linda G. Tucker of South Walpole, Andrew S. Tucker of CT, Cynthia T. and her husband Andrew D. Moore of NH, and Kenneth A. Tucker of CA. Cherished grandfather of Scott D. and his wife Kate Tucker of CO and Kevin A. and his wife Charlotte Tucker of CO and great-grandfather of Alexandra Tucker. Brother of the late Richard Tucker.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Memorial Service that will be celebrated at The United Church in Walpole on Saturday, September 21, 2013 @ 11:00 AM. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery.
