Susan E. Krueger

September 23, 1966 — June 29, 2021

Susan E. Krueger, age 54, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at her home in Acton, Massachusetts.  Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on September 23, 1966, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Sara G. (Lester) Verbeck.  She was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, where she graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1984.  Suzy continued her education at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, earning her bachelor's degree in fine arts with the Class of 1989.

Following her graduation, Suzy made her home with her husband to be, Todd H. Krueger, in Littleton and took a position with a cutlery store in the Pheasant Hill Mall in New Hampshire.  Suzy and Todd were married on January 6, 1992 in her hometown of Walpole.  After their wedding, Todd deployed with the military to various posts around the world and was happy to have Suzy by his side.  While traveling around the world, Suzy took many opportunities to help others through countless hours of volunteer work.  Upon Todd's discharge, the couple returned to Massachusetts, initially settling in Woburn, where Suzy found work in a local package store, before making their home in Littleton.  More recently, Susy made her home in Acton, Massachusetts, serving her community at the Ace Hardware Store for many years.

Throughout her life, Suzy's passion was for art, in many different mediums, working with paint, ink, clay, and wood.  She was nationally recognized for her painting skills, as one of her canvases hung in the Capitol Building in Washington, DC for a time.  Suzy also enjoyed sewing and crafted several beautiful costumes over the years.  As an automobile enthusiast, Suzy maintained three cars and looked forward to taking her dogs for a ride.  While she maintained a quiet lifestyle, Suzy was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.
