Susan L. Connolly

Susan L. (Shufelt) Connolly, beloved wife of Francis "Skip" Connolly, passed away in Walpole, Massachusetts on Monday, September 14, 2009 with her loving family by her side. Susan at the age of 54 lost her 4 year battle with lung cancer. She worked many years for the New England Telephone Company; then after retirement she moved to the Berkshires where she enjoyed the country living and working with the elderly.

Susan is survived by her husband Skip and her dog Huey, both whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind her mother Mary (Clark) Shufelt, her sisters Gale and her husband Robert Engler of Londonderry, NH, Debbie and her husband Joseph Zahner of Wrentham, and Robin Shufelt of Mattapoisett, and her brothers Richard Shufelt of Walpole, and Bobby and his wife Victoria Shufelt of Wrentham. She is the sister in law of Kevin and his wife Patty Connolly of Whitman, and Stephen and his wife Nancy Connolly of Norton. Susan is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is pre deceased by her father Richard Shufelt, and her mother and father in law Stephen and Anne (Zark) Connolly.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Saint Catherine's Church Washington Street (Route 1A) at Nahatan Street Norwood on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 9AM. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is in Knollwood Memorial Park Canton, Massachusetts. At Susan's request donations may be given to any animal shelter of your choice.
