Stephen P. Morandi, age 58, tragically passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident in Bellingham on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on June 7, 1964, he is the son of Michael R. and Patricia (DeCosta) Morandi. He was raised in Walpole and attended Tri County Regional Technical High School in Franklin, learning the mechanic's trade. Following a lot of "this and that," Stephen graduated from high school in 1982 and took his first truck driver's position with Cullinane Construction.
After a few "whatevers" and "whatnots," Stephen took a position with W.D. Cohen in Canton, where he spent thirty years driving trucks, working on machines, and taking care of anything that needed his attention. He went on to take a position with Capone Brothers in Canton and more recently began his career with BIB Logistics, bringing his "whatever you need" attitude with him. Stephen was the type of guy who would give anyone the shirt off his back and when thanked, would quickly respond with "don't worry about it."
When he wasn't hard at work or helping someone in need, Stephen loved throwing his leg over his Harley Davidson Street Glide, riding off to discover a new destination. He often shared his adventure with his crew from Clyde's in Walpole and his friends in the PMMC. These adventures brought him across the United States, visiting points around South Dakota, Wyoming, Arizona, Nevada, countless places throughout New England, and "so on and so forth."
Back at home, Stephen loved being surrounded by his family and friends. He was immensely proud of his children and all of their accomplishments, always supporting all of their activities. Stephen was incredibly excited to become a grandfather to Michael, spending countless hours helping him to ride a bike, watching baseball games, and planting the seeds about construction. After a long day, a night of relaxation was in order, complete with his favorite sweets, including lifesavers, tootsie rolls, lollipops, and popcorn.
Anything in quotes are "Stephen-isms" and should be used often to keep his spirit alive.
Loving father of Jeffrey S. Morandi and his fiancé, Elizabeth Schoener, of Bellingham, Samantha A. Morandi and her partner, Patrick Camacho, of Lakeville, and Rebecca B. Morandi of Walpole.

Devoted son of Michael R. and Patricia (DeCosta) Morandi of East Walpole.

Also survived by his niece, Meaghan Petrosky, of North Attleborough, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by the mother of his children, Loretta A. (Walsh) Morandi.
