Stephanie C. Boughter

Stephanie C. (Lavin) Boughter age 76 years died in her Walpole, Massachusetts home on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Born in Ballycastle, County Mayo, Ireland on December 27, 1935; she was the daughter of the late Michael and Agnes (Tighe) Lavin, and step daughter of Ellen Lavin. She was raised and educated in Ireland. She has been a resident of Walpole for the past 4 years moving there from Boston where she had lived for over 40 years.

Mrs. Boughter worked at the New England Telephone Company, as a waitress at Jack and Marion's Restaurant in Brookline, as a private nanny, and as a cashier at Stop and Shop in Dedham.

She enjoyed going to the beach and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas W. Boughter. Loving mother of Deborah A. McColgan of Dedham, Thomas W. Boughter, Jr. of Stoughton, Edwin P. Boughter of Norwood, Michelle M. Lynch of Walpole and Carol A. Boughter of Boston. Cherished grandmother of Sean, Moira, Taylor, Christopher, Ami, Erika, Stephen, Tori and Peter. Sister of Christine Devlin of Westwood, Stella McCauley of Pembroke, Theresa Breslin of County Mayo, Ireland, the late Philomena Draper, Carmel Tubbs, Emily Evans, Kevin Lavin, Dympna McNally, and Fred Lavin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
