Stanley P. Pensak, Jr., age 53, of Millville, MA passed away after an illness on Monday, November 27, 2017. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on April 19, 1964, he was the son of Stanley P. and Pauline (Gagnon) Pensak. He was raised in Fall River and graduated from Bishop Connolly High School with the Class of 1982. Stan continued his studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in 1986.
Upon graduation, Stan started his career as a software engineer at the Foxboro Company. He then worked at Intec Controls in Walpole for several years followed by a position with the Waters Corporation in Milford. After working there for several years, he took a job with Mathworks in Natick. He then decided to undertake the challenge of founding his own company, Mik8ty Software. Recently he returned to the Waters Corporation finishing his career as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer.
A lifelong Massachusetts resident, Stan lived in Foxboro, West Roxbury, and Quincy before settling in East Walpole when he got married. When the marriage ended, he lived in Northbridge, Grafton, and Foxborough before making his home in Millville.
Stan enjoyed anything to do with space, regularly gazing at the stars through his telescope and watching almost every NASA launch from his computer. He loved playing pinball whether on his own pinball machine or virtually on a computer. In addition, he enjoyed collecting model trains and creating new landscapes with them in his home. He enjoyed puzzles, board games, card tricks, as well as spending time with friends at trivia nights.
Stan was always looking for a way to give back to his community and fellow man. He donated blood to the Red Cross whenever possible, earning many donation pins. He had strong feelings on ending world hunger and often donated to Food For The Poor. In addition, he volunteered with the organization My Brother's Keeper.
Most of all, Stan loved spending time with his two children, Michael and Kate. They enjoyed playing mini-golf and Minecraft, singing classic and parody songs, and going on day trips and vacations together. Michael and his Dad shared a bond over video games and spent countless hours playing together. Kate shared a bond with her Dad over the movie The Truman Show, the television shows Doctor Who, Sherlock, and the original MacGyver series, and perfecting their chocolate chip cookie recipe. He was truly a devoted father to his two children, and always made sure that they were well cared for.
Loving and devoted father of Michael J. Pensak and Katherine H. Pensak both of East Walpole. Former husband of Dawn M. Leonard of East Walpole.
Brother of the late Richard Drabble of Las Vegas and the late David Drabble of Westport.
