Shirley J. McLellan

Shirley J. (Holmquist) McLellan age 78 years died in the Deutsches Altenheim German Centre in West Roxbury, Massachusetts on Saturday, October 31, 2009. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 14, 1931; she graduated from the Dorchester High School for Girls with the class of 1949. She was a resident of Norwood, Massachusetts.

She worked as a sales clerk for T.J. Maxx for 25 years in Norwood.

Mrs. McLellan loved all of the arts, but especially enjoyed music. She also enjoyed dancing.

Loving mother of Linda and her husband Kevin Delaney of Needham, Harry and his wife Nancy McLellan of Scituate, Thomas and his wife Monika McLellan of Texas, Steven and his wife Julia McLellan of Falmouth and Carrie and her husband Guy Cantone of CT. Grandmother of 10. Daughter of the late Elsa Holmquist and sister of the late Walter Holmquist.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common St. Walpole. Funeral will be private. The German Centre has been her home for the last 4 years. There she received the utmost professional care, consideration, respect and love by everyone. Her family is eternally grateful. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The German Centre Activity Fund, 2222 Centre St., West Roxbury, MA. 02132.
