Shawn C. Jordan

Shawn C. "Boris" Jordan age 52 years died in the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, Massachusetts on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 9, 1956; he graduated from Blue Hills Regional High School with the class of 1974. He went on to graduate from Northeastern University with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1978. He was a resident on Norwood, Massachusetts, moving there from Dedham, Massachusetts.

He was an electrical engineer for Motorola and previously for LTX and Jet Spray. In addition, he worked as a baker at Roche Brothers in Islington, Massachusetts.

Mr. Jordan was the manager and secretary for the Industrial Softball League in Norwood, Massachusetts.

He was an associate member of the Walpole VFW Post 5188. He was a supporter of Breast Cancer Research, collecting many can tops.

Mr. Jordan was an avid cribbage player belonging to the American Cribbage Congress and was the captain of the cribbage team at the Walpole VFW. He enjoyed playing bingo; gardening; and watching New England Sports, especially the Red Sox. He was also a cat lover. Most especially, he enjoyed spending time with his brothers.

Devoted son of the late Paul J. and Carolyn R. (Seaward) Jordan. Brother of Michael F. Jordan of Walpole, Paul "Chevy" Jordan of Norwood and the late Lorna Jordan. Also survived by 4 nieces, 2 nephews, and 1 grand nephew.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service that will be held in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 10 AM. Visiting hours are Monday, July 6, 2009 from 4-8PM. Interment is private.
