Sarah Jean (Ashe) "Sally" Carey, age 67, passed away in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 18, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Alice (McDonough) Ashe. She was raised in Roxbury and graduated from Mission High School with the class of 1966. After graduation, Sally took a position with Jordan Marsh in the Accounts Payable Department. She quickly rose to Purchasing Manager then to Human Resources Manager at the Quincy location.

Sally married her husband Frank in the Mission Church in Roxbury on August 1, 1970; together they made their home in Roslindale, later moving to Walpole in 1990.

Sally left Jordan Marsh to take the position of Program Manager for City Street Bank, which was formerly a part of State Street Bank, in Boston. She retired in 2013 as the Senior Vice President of Project Management for Voya Investment Management, which was formerly ING Investment Management.

Beloved wife of Francis X. Carey.
Loving mother of Ryan P. Carey and his girlfriend Lindsey of Wrentham, Mark C. Carey and his wife Robin of Millis, and Eric M. Carey and his wife Jennifer of Norwood.
Cherished grandmother of Christopher Michael Carey, Brooke Soleil Carey, Tyler Xavier Carey, and Trevor Michael Carey.
Sister of Jeannette Ashe of Wrentham, Patricia Tyner and her husband Charles of Melrose, Barbara Kean of West Roxbury, the late Mary Anciello and the late Thomas Ashe.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Memorial Mass that will be celebrated at Mission Church, 1545 Tremont Street, Roxbury on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted at the request of the family and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Caring for Carey online at gofundme.com/caringforcarey. Caring for Carey was established to help Sally's son Eric and his family as his wife, Jen, continues her treatment for brain cancer.
