Salvatore Caccamesi

SALVATORE CACCAMESI age 86 years died in his Norwood home on Friday February 23, 2007. Born in Villa Rosa, Sicily on January 7, 1921, he graduated from East Boston High School with the class of 1940. He was a resident of Norwood for the past 45 years moving there from West Roxbury.

He joined the United States Army Air Corp and served his country during World War II as a coporal.

Mr. Caccamesi owned Sal's Barber Shop on Hyde Park Avenue in Hyde Park for 40 years.

He was devoted to his children and grandchildren

Mr. Caccamesi enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden for many years as well as watching sports on tv especially the Red Sox and Patriots.

Beloved husband of Frances M. (Ippolito) Caccamesi Loving father of Barbara A. Mann of Norwood, Claire F. Ford of Plainville, and Donna M. McBride of Norton. Cherished Grandfather of Catherine F. Ford of Norwood, Anne C. Donovan of Medfield, Christine McBride and Valerie McBride both of Norton. Brother of the late Charles , Peter, Vincent, Angelo Caccamesi

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral that will be celebrated at Saint Catherine's Church Norwood on Wednesday @ 9AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday form 4 to 8 in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment in Saint Joseph's Cemetery West Roxbury.
