Ruth Ann Mahan

Ruth Ann (Nelson) Mahan age 79 years died in the Caritas Norwood Hospital, Norwood , Massachusetts on Friday, January 4, 2008. Born on February 28, 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts to her parents Fred and Mary C. (Peckham) Nelson, she graduated from Hingham High School with the class of 1946 and went on to graduate from Simmons College with the class of 1950. She has been a resident of Walpole since 1954 moving here from Hingham.

Mrs. Mahan worked as a librarian in the Walpole Public Library in the Children's Section for 35 years.

She vounteered at the Walpole Food Pantry as well as the Red Cross in Dedham.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visiting hours in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common St Walpole on Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 from 4pm to 7pm.
