Ruth E. Foley

Ruth E. (Macomber) Foley age 96 years died in the Harrington House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Walpole, Massachusetts on Monday, April 30, 2012. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on April 27, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Alfred S. and Elizabeth T. (Courtney) Macomber. She graduated from Billerica High School with the class of 1934. She has been a resident of Walpole since 2005 moving there from South Yarmouth and was formerly of Arlington.

Mrs. Foley was a clerk for the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles and the Massachusetts Division of Employment Security.

She was an avid New England sports fan. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Beloved Wife of the late Thomas V. Foley. Loving mother of Thomas V. Foley Jr. and his wife Joanne of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Kathy Foley Giorgio of Middlebury Vermont, Daniel Foley and his wife Holly of Norfolk, great-grandmother to Tyler, Andy, Courtney, and Caitlin. Sister to the late Gene Macomber and the late Sal Colucci.

A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that you perform a random act of kindness in Ruth's memory. Arrangements by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home Walpole.
