Russell Stanley Mann

Mr. Russell Stanley Mann age 66 years died in the New England Sinai Hospital , Stoughton, Massachusetts on Friday evening, September 4th, 2009. Born in Brockton, Massachusetts on September 2, 1943, the son of Russell F. and Gertrude E. (Tinkham) Mann. He graduated from Avon High School with the Class of 1961, He entered the United States Air Force and served his county during the Vietnam Era. He was a Military Police Officer.

A resident of Mansfield since 1972 moving from Avon

He is a retired Police Officer , having worked his entire career in Sharon, Massachusetts, and when he retired his was the Town of Sharon's Prosecuting Officer. While employed by the Town he earned his Degree in Law Enforcement from Stonehill College.

Mr. Mann was a member of the Shriners Aleppo Lodge, a member of the Masons Rising Star Lodge Stoughton, a member of The Elk Lodge 2130, Randolph , a member of the American Legion in Sharon, a member of the Foxboro Fish and Game, a member of the Massachusetts Prosecutor Association, and a member of MassCop.

Devoted husband of Patricia A. (Shultz) Mann. Brother of Susan Taylor of New Hampshire and Douglas Mann of Brookline. Nephew of Grace Burke of Kingston Brother in law of Carol A. "Cookie" Shultz of Attleboro Uncle of Dana and his wife Karla Shultz , Eric and his wife Lucia Shultz all of Attleboro, Jeffery Ballantine of Ohio, Ronald and his wife Paula Schultze, Kimberly and her husband Roger Kendall, Scott Schultze all of N. Carolina. Great Uncle of 9.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Service to be held in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Thursday, September 10, 2009 @ 10AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, September 9, 2009, from 3pm to 8pm Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
