Rosemary Anne Menno

October 1, 1925 — May 22, 2012

Rosemary Anne (Degnan) Menno age 86 years died peacefully in her Norwood Massachusetts home on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late D. Francis and Grace (Morehouse) Degnan. She graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls with the class of 1943 and later graduated from Boston State College with the class of 1972. She has been a resident of Norwood, Massachusetts for the past 50 years moving there from Long Island, New York.

Mrs. Menno worked for the Archdiocese of Boston teaching first grade at Saint Anne's School in Readville, Massachusetts, for 27 years. She also taught second grade in the Sacred Heart School in Merrick, New York and worked as a Nurse's Aid at the Charlwell Nursing Home in Norwood.

She was a former Novice with the Sisters of St. Joseph in Framingham, MA and was an active member of Saint Timothy's Church in Norwood.

Mrs. Menno was devoted to her family and especially to her grandchildren.

Loving mother of Stephen R. and Patricia Menno of Mystic, CT and James V. and Susan Menno of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Justin Menno, Adrienne Menno, Christin Menno, Lauren Menno, Evan Menno and Corey Menno. Great grandmother of Rosemary Christin Menno. Sister of John Degnan of Norwood, Ann Marie Paratore of Franklin and the late Francis "Buddy" Degnan.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral that will be celebrated at Saint Timothy's Church Nichols Street Norwood on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 10:00AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 4 to 8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
