Rosemarie DeMichele died peacefully with family members by her side at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham on January 22nd. Daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary (Romano) DeMichele. Sister of Arlene Turco and Francine DeMichele both of Walpole and Robert DeMichele of Millis. Sister to the late Rudy DeMichele, Jr., and Pauline DeMichele. Sister-in-law to the late Eileen DeMichele and Peter J. Turco. Aunt to Alan DeMichele and his wife Sharon of Croton, New York. Linda Wilcox and her husband Kenneth of Blackstone and Gregory Turco and his wife Heather of Brockton; and great aunt to Joshua, Caitlyn, Alison, Lucy, Matthew, and Luke.
Rosemarie was a graduate of Walpole High School. Following her graduation from Walpole High she took a position with the Kendall Company in Walpole and Boston where she held financial positions. During her employment with Kendall, she pursued her college studies at Northeastern University graduating Cum Laude where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She also attended evening secretarial classes at Hickox School.
Rosemarie was actively involved with the South Norfolk Alliance of the Mentally Ill serving as secretary and Co-chairperson on the membership Committee at various times.
Rosemarie was a member of the Italian American Club in Walpole and a member of the Italian American Ladies Club of Walpole. She was also a member of the Medfield Restoration Cemetery Committee helping to restore dignity and headstones for many who died without any family.
Rosemarie loved to travel, read, and work in her garden. Most of all, she was always there for her family, helping in any way she could. She will be missed by those she loved most.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Rosemarie’s visitation on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 9 to 10:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
