Rose G. (Spada) Garzone, age 88, passed away in the Norwood Hospital on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Anna (Murdocca) Spada. She was raised in Roxbury, attending Boston Public Schools, before graduating from Roxbury Memorial High School with the Class of 1946.
Rose married her husband, George W. Garzone, on January 23rd, 1948 and together they made their home on Perch Street in Roxbury. After welcoming her two children, George and Roseanne, Rose took a position with Jordan Marsh in Boston to help support her young family. She and George settled in Roslindale in 1959, and Rose left Jordan Marsh after 25 years to take a Claims Processor position with Blue Cross Blue Shield. In 1986, Rose moved to Randolph. In 1996 her husband George passed away. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield in 1993 after 25 years of dedicated service. Rose enjoyed staying active and in her retirement, she took a part time job with Macy's Department Store, working for another 10 years. In 2006, Rose made her home with her daughter in East Walpole.
She was an avid reader, and enjoyed taking trips to the library to check out a new romance novel, and loved watching Country Western Movies. Rose took many vacations with her sister in law, Mary Spada, together they enjoyed visiting Puerto Rico, Cape Cod, and the Florida Keys.

Loving mother of George S. Garzone of Bridgewater and Roseanne G. Sidebottom of East Walpole.
Cherished grandmother of Arthur Ackles of Wrentham, Michael Sidebottom of East Walpole, Anthony Garzone of Colorado, and Lana Eldridge of Halifax and great grandmother of Ryan Ackles, Nathan Ackles, Josephine Eldridge, and Charles Eldridge.
Sister of Albert Spada of Wilmington, the late Rocco Spada, Joseph Spada, Frank Spada, John Spada, and Theresa Senesi.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Rose's Life Celebration on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 4-8 PM and Friday, December 16, 2016 from 9-9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
