Ronald P. Curtin, age 80, died in the Harrington House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Walpole, Massachusetts on Thursday, April 9, 2015. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 29, 1935, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Beatrice (Green) Curtin. He was raised in South Boston and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School with the class fo 1953. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Italy and was honorably discharged in 1956 as a Private 1st Class.
Ronnie met his soon to be wife, Concetta A. Lippolis, after returning from his service in the Army. They were married on June 29, 1958 and made their home in Walpole, Massachusetts. At this time, he earned employment with the United States Postal Service in the Postal Annex in Boston. He later took a position as a letter carrier in the Newton Centre Post Office. In 1969, Ronnie and Connie moved to Wrentham, Massachusetts to raise their family. While living in Wrentham, he pursued his Associates Degree in Business, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Newbury College in Boston.
As a devoted Catholic, Ronnie was a member of Saint Mary's Church in Wrentham, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Franklin and as a proud veteran of the United States Army, he was a member of the VFW and the American Legion in Wrentham.
Ronnie was known for his softball pitching abilities. As a young man he played in the West Roxbury Men's Softball League and after moving to Wrentham, he joined the Wrentham Men's Softball League.
After his retirement in 1993, he began his second career as a driver for YCN in Norwood, which lasted for 20 years. In addition, he became an avid billiards player, winning the regional competition in New England. He also traveled to Las Vegas on several occasions to play in the National Tournament both as an individual and with his teams.
Most of all he will be remembered as a devoted husband and father and grandfather.

Loving father of Mary D. Kelly and her husband Kevin R. of Cumberland, RI, Michael J. Curtin of Cumberland, RI, and John J. Curtin and his wife Lori A. of Walpole.
Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Brendan, Michael, Kaylee, Shawn, Emilee, Connie and Tyler.
Brother in law of Mary and Victor Serena of East Walpole, Anna Nardone of Wrentham, and John Lippolis of East Walpole.
Also survived by his nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Ronnie's Life Celebration on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 4-8PM and Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 8-8:30AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary's Church, 130 South Street, Wrentham on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
