Roland C. Greenough age 94 years died in the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Born in Milton, Nova Scotia, Canada on December 24, 1914; he was the son of the late Clifford M. and Hazel M. (Bunker) Greenough. He attended Cambridge Rindge Technical High School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Mr. Greenough served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1979, moving from Norwood, Massachusetts.

He was a truck driver working for the Teamsters Union Local 379 in Braintree, Massachusetts; and retired in 1976 with 30 years of service.

Beloved husband of the late Mary S. (Johnson) Greenough. Loving father of Mary Concannon of Weymouth, Frank T. Greenough of Hyde Park, Edward Greenough of Nevada, Michael Greenough of Mansfield, Patricia Pomakis of Readville, Robert Greenough of Arizona, Carol Murray of Stoughton, the late William Greenough, the late Joanne Brown, the late James Greenough, the late Thomas Greenough, and the late Gerald Greenough. Cherished grandfather of 17 and great grandfather of 23. Brother of Olive Varallo of Somerville.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service that will be held in the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery Baker Street Boston on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole.
