Roland Joseph Broccoli

Roland Joseph Broccoli, age 88, passed away in the Norwood Hospital on November 20, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on March 17, 1929, he was the son of the late Carmine and Julia (Continelli) Broccoli. He was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts and graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1946.

Roland married his wife, Drucilla E. Shank, on June 7, 1952 in Rome, New York and the young couple made their home together in Walpole. Roland was called to serve his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Upon his discharge in 1955, Roland returned home to Walpole, where he raised his family. He took a position with Cotex in Mansfield and after many years, retired as the Vice President of Purchasing in 1992.

Loving father of Michael A. Broccoli and his wife Patricia of Walpole, Denise M. Broccoli of Walpole, David H. Broccoli of Foxborough, and the late Charles R. Broccoli.
Cherished grandfather of Jenna M. Broccoli of Falmouth and Michael C. Broccoli of Medfield and great grandfather of Gabriella R. Langwell.
Brother of Carmine Broccoli of Walpole.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Roland's Life Celebration on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 3-7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
