Roger Tyrone St. St. Germain

Roger Tyrone St. Germain, age 74, passed away in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday, June 2, 2018. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 12, 1943, he was the son of the late Joseph C. and Henrietta (Cote) St. Germain. He was raised and educated in Boston, however as one of 15 siblings, Roger took a construction job at the age of 13 to help support his family.

Roger met his soon to be wife, Anita C. Belmont, though mutual friends at a party that they all attended. They were married on August 26, 1967 in Saint Ambrose Church in Dorchester. The young couple made their home together in Quincy, and Roger founded his construction company, Eastern Remodeling, working as a sub-contractor for the Application Company, installing replacement windows. In 1976, Roger found an abandoned house in Walpole and went to work completely remodeling it for his family to move into.

Throughout his life, Roger was an avid fisherman, taking annual trips to the lakes in New Hampshire and the beaches of Cape Cod. While on the Cape, he would stop at the Wellfleet Flee Market, looking for the perfect antique to place in his home. He also enjoyed traveling around New England, visiting various antique shops and flee markets. Roger was never alone on his trips, as he would always have his dogs, Greta and Scout, with him. As a dog lover, he dog sat for his daughter, Natalie's, dogs, Gunther and Chase and loved spending time with Derek's dog, Tucker.

Loving father of Roger T. St. Germain, Jr. and his wife Karen of Foxboro, Natalie M. St. Germain and Derek Carmichael of Franklin, and Derek J. St. Germain and his wife Melissa of Walpole.
Cherished grandfather of Derek, Jr., Mason, and Lily all of Walpole, and Roger, III, and Leah of Foxboro.
Brother of William St. Germain of Randolph and pre-deceased by many brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Roger's Life Celebration on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 4 to 8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. Funeral service and interment will be private at the request of Roger's family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The Pine Street Inn, c/o Development Office, 444 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA 02118.
