Robert Joseph Eppich

November 21, 1930 — June 13, 2014

Robert "Bobby" Eppich of Laconia, NH, formerly of East Walpole, MA, died June 13, in Laconia, NH. He was the son of the late Frank Eppich and Anna (Dornig) Eppich and the beloved husband of Joan B. (Donahue). Born Nov. 21, 1930, in Norwood, MA, he graduated from Walpole High School, as part of the Class of 1948 and served in the Korean War.

He was a communicant of Saint Andre Bissette Parish in Laconia, NH.

Bobby lived life to the fullest, loving all that crossed his path. He was a witty, gentle soul and was instantly loved by those who met him. Until his passing, he enjoyed pond skating, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking the mountains of New Hampshire. He was an avid golfer and member of Mojolaki Country Club and a member of the Knights of Columbus #252. His fondest memories were of days spent with his lovely wife of 57 years, his children, his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, and family and friends at the "Lake".

He is survived by his wife, Joan (Donahue); two brothers, Frank Eppich of Indianapolis, IN, and William Eppich of Hanover, MA; his children, Lisa Whalen of Dennisport, MA, Robert Eppich, Jr., of Talmage, CA, Linda Curran of Walpole, MA, and Amy Boyden of Clermont, FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, and Kerin Whalen of Boston, MA; Matthew, Michael, and Olivia Eppich of California; Jennifer Eppich of Chicago; Padraic and Maggie Curran of Walpole, MA, and great-granddaughter, Grace Whalen of Boston, along with many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He will be sadly missed by many.
