Robert G. Damon, 82 years of Norwood, formerly of Burlington, unexpectedly passed away on August 11, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Susanne (Hamilton) Taylor Damon.
Bob was born in Boston and graduated from Brookline High School. At nineteen, he joined the 102nd Air Force National Guard and was sent to Europe as part of the Berlin Airlift. Always adept at mechanics, he owned the RG Damon and Son Air Conditioning Company for over twenty years. Bob was an accomplished carpenter who built furniture as well as beautifully finishing his Burlington home. Always the first to help family and friends with handyman projects, he was a true jack - of-all-trades. His passion was also traveling in his RV, up and down the coast.
He will be remembered lovingly by his son, Ken Damon of Suffolk, Virginia; his daughter Robin Reiner of Burlington; his step son Jay Ferrara of Chepachet, RI; and his brother Andrew Damon of Wilmington.
He will also be remembered fondly by the families of Terri Euber of Weymouth and Lynn Walsh of Brewster.
He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bob was predeceased by his first wife Carole Damon.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Bob's memorial service which will be held in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole on Wednesday at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of Massachusetts, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01702.
