Robert W. Brown

Mr. Robert W. Brown age 73 years died unexpectedly in his Bridgewater home on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Born in Cobleskill, New York on April 7, 1938, he was the son of Barney S. and Edith (Ferri) Brown. He graduated from Cobleskill High School, then from Cortland State College, and later he earned his MBA from Northeastern University. He also earned his CPCU. Mr. Brown served in the United States Navy as a LT.

He was the owner and President of Brown & Sons Insurance Agency in Raynham.

Mr. Brown was resident of Bridgewater since 1978 moving there from Taunton. He was a Past President of P.R.I.D.E. of Taunton, where he was still on the Board of Directors. His interests include golf, yardwork, and hosting family and friends at the Cape. He attended all of Andrew's and Douglas' sporting events including regattas.

Beloved husband of Nancy (Viano) Brown. Loving father of Andrew Brown and Douglas Brown both of Bridgewater. Brother of George Brown of Melbourne Beach, Florida and the late Patricia Wallace. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street East Walpole on Monday, April 18, 2011 @ 9AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 3pm to 6pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole .
