Richard T. Smith

Mr. Richard T. "Dick" Smith age 65 years died in Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine on Saturday, November 17, 2007. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 11, 1942 , the son of the late Frederick and Frances (D'Amico) Smith.

Mr. Smith was the owner of Ice Cream Specialties , an ice cream vending company for over 20 years. Later he drove the Community Bus for the Town of Sharon.

A resident of Walpole for 38 years moving here from Watertown

Mr. Smith enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Boating, he was a member of the Town River Yacht Club - Quincy

The thing that gave him the greatest joy was his grandchildren

Beloved husband of Margaret E. "Peg" (O'Leary) Smith. Loving father of Denise Coughlan of Wrentham, Brenda Sinclaire of Mansfield, and Susan McElhinney of Foxboro. Cherished grandfather of Lindsey, Olivia, Nicole of Wrentham, Dennis, Benjamin, Lucas of Mansfield, Shannon, Braden of Foxboro. Brother of Frederick Smith of Hudson, Pearl Brewer of Maryland and the late Louise Beal. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 @ 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday, November 20, 2007 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole . Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
