Richard H. Larkin, age 58, died in the Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Brighton, Massachusetts on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts on January 16, 1957, he was raised in Medfield, Massachusetts and graduated from Medfield High School with the class of 1975. He has been a resident of Mansfield, Massachusetts since 1983.
As a truck driver by trade, he was the owner of Leon Larkin Enterprises carrying the US Mail. He later took a position with Cape Cod Express.
Richard had a love for music, especially classic country, as well as a love for Cadillacs and his many hats. He also enjoyed working in his yard and built a Bar-B-Que pit where he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Beloved husband of Lisa Leon.
Loving father of Leon Larkin of Mansfield.
Devoted son of the late Robert J. and Shirley Ann (Picard) Larkin and step son of James King Paterson.
Brother of Elizabeth Larkin-Mantelli and William MacGregor of Johnston, RI, Jane T. Larkin and James Stewart of Wilmington, Ted Larkin of Norfolk, Debra Leon and Stephen Swierk of Walpole and the late Robert J. Larkin, Jr.
Cherished uncle of Doug Mantelli, Tony Larkin, Melissa Larkin, Elizabeth Kolenski and Robert Larkin.
Also survived by several aunts and many cousins.
Visiting hours omitted at the request of the family. A memorial service will be held in the late summer at a time to be announced.
