Richard Graves age 78 years died in the Harrington House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Walpole, Massachusetts on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts on March 6, 1933, he was the son of the late Harold and Leona (Randall) Graves. He graduated from the Norfolk County Agricultural High School with the class of 1951, and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Graves was a life long resident of Walpole, Massachusetts.

He was a member of the Sheet Metal Worker's Union, Local 17, for 27 years and retired in 1985.

Mr. Graves enjoyed tending to his garden and growing vegetables. He prided himself on keeping a nice home and yard. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his dog Molly.

Beloved husband of Eleanor (Maria) Graves. Loving father of Richard and his wife Marjorie Graves, Jr of East Walpole, Dean Graves of Foxboro, Kimberly Graves of Walpole, and Kristin and Scott Achorn of Norwell. Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Jenna, Colleen, Allison, Cameron, and Braden. Brother of Robert Graves, Jean Joyce both of Wrentham and the late Harold Graves.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street E. Walpole on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours are Friday, December 2, 2011 from 4PM to 8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Memorial donations may be made to: Walpole VFW Post 5188 Robbins Road Walpole, MA 02081.
