Richard T. Chambers

Mr. Richard T. Chambers age 70 years died in the Cartias Norwood Hospital, Norwood, Massachusetts on Sunday, September 12, 2010. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on August 9, 1940, he was the son of William R. and Lottie Crosby (Vickery) Chambers. He graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1960.

He was a life long resident of Walpole. Mr. Chambers was a machinist at Bird Machine Company for over 28 years, and worked part time for the Walpole Sharon Lock and Key.

An avid camper, he and his wife would take the 5th wheel camper around New England. His joy came from being with his family and his grandchildren. He would give golf cart rides, horse rides, teach fishing, and camping skills. He was all about family.

Beloved husband of Linda L. (Bartlett) Chambers. Loving father of Kimberly J. Currie of Walpole, Jill E. Sullivan of Norfolk, Todd Chambers of Plainville, Tim Chambers of Woonsocket and Michael Russo of Walpole. Cherished grandfather David , Michael, Meghan & Stephen Currie, Jessie, Daniel, Abigail, Tyler, Gracie, & Ashley Sullivan, Molly, Richie, Heidi Chambers, Cody & Kaylee Chambers. Great grandfather of Rylee May Bain. Brother of Eva Cleary of Foxboro, Christine Seskevich of Worcester, Gertrude Leonard, David Chambers both of Sharon, the late William Chambers, the late Leo Chambers, the late James Chambers and the late Jean Base.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Service that will be held in the Victory Assembly of God Church 67 High Plain Street Sharon, MA on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 10AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 4pm to 8pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be private.
