Richard G. Buttimer

Richard G. Buttimer age 51 years died in Walpole, Massachusetts on Wednesday, January 4, 2011. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on November 9, 1960, he graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1979. He later graduated from Dean College with the class of 1987 and from Boston College with the class of 1993. Mr. Buttimer was a life long resident of Walpole.

He worked as a computer technician for NCR in Newton, Massachusetts for 31 years. He loved his work and everyone associated with it.

Mr. Buttimer was an avid Boston sports fan.

Loving father of Caroline Buttimer, Michael Buttimer, and Alexa Buttimer all of East Walpole. Devoted son of Marjorie F. (Simpson) Buttimer of Walpole and the late John H. Buttimer. Brother of Elizabeth F. Buttimer-Caplan of Stoughton, Patricia M. Marchand of Walpole, Robert J. Buttimer of Winter Haven, Florida, and the late Nancy E. Troiano. Loving and devoted companion of Sheri Elfman. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nephews and a great niece.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service in the Epiphany Episcopal Church 62 Front Street Walpole on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Visiting hours are Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 2-6PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is private.
