Renee Jean (Johnson) Adamson, age 51, passed away peacefully in Norwood Hospital on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on December 2, 1964, Renee moved with her family in 1968 to Cadillac, Michigan, where she spent most her childhood. She graduated from Cadillac High School with the Class of 1983 and went on to attend Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Renee graduated from Carthage in 1987, with her Bachelor's Degree in both Political Science and Spanish.
After college, Renee moved back east to Waltham, Massachusetts and took a position with the New England Insurance Company in the policy writing department, later moving up to the position of supervisor. While living in Waltham, she met her soon to be husband, John Adamson, and they were married on September 13, 1992. They initially made their home in Brookline before settling in Medfield in 1993. After welcoming her son, Sean, in 1996, Renee left the working world to fully become a stay-at-home mom, raising and caring for her young family. Her family grew again in 1999 after welcoming her daughter, Sara. Renee's family meant the world to her, she enjoyed several family cruises and cherished her trip to Guatemala with her children.
She had a strong devotion to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Norwood, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and as a member of the Call Committee, helping to find the new pastor.
After being re-diagnosed with cancer in 2011, Renee found alternative remedies that helped her during her treatments. In an effort to help others in similar situations, she became a health coach, focusing on holistic healing.
