Raymond E. Gentile

Raymond E. Gentile age 81 years died in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts he was the son of the late Orazio and Caroline Vinton (Pray) Gentile. Mr. Gentile proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and later served in the United States Coast Guard. He has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1966 moving there from Dorchester.

He worked at Litton Industries and was the supervisor of testing there.

Beloved husband of the late Norma J. (Quillen) Gentile. Loving father of Shirley J. Raile of Wisher, ND, Raymond E. Gentile of Taunton, Lorraine A. Hall of Franklin and the late Paul D. Gentile. Cherished grandfather of Christine, Nicole, Jonathan, Eleanor, Thomas, Anna, Victoria, Priscilla, and Madison. Great Grandfather of Glen. Brother of Donato Gentile of Roslindale, Constance Foster of Florida, Carmela Metfoony of Seekonk, Paul Gentile of Abington, the late Russell Gentile, Domenica Gentile, Carlo Gentile, and Luigi Gentile.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Tuesday at 10AM. Visiting hours are Monday from 4 to 8PM.
