Quin Katherine McGovern

Quin Katherine McGovern passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Newton, Massachusetts on May 26, 2024, she was the daughter of Kevin Gary and Jill Christine (St. Cyr) McGovern. 

Quin was a beautiful baby, with big blue eyes, and an adorable gummy smile that made everyone around her smile just as big. She was a happy baby who spent her life being held, snuggled, and loved by those around her. Quin was especially fond of her brothers Kyle and Kole, who she thought were the funniest people in the world. They always managed to elicit a smile and keep her attention. Quin loved listening to music and exploring the world around her. She enjoyed being in the water, happy to take a dip in the pool or make a splash at the beach. This summer she traveled with her family to Cape Cod, Maine and New Hampshire on vacation, where she received one of her nicknames, Quinipesaukee, from her love of spending time on the lake. Also known lovingly as Quindeline, Quinny the Pooh, Quinny, and Queen, she will be greatly missed.

Adored granddaughter of Geoffrey J. St. Cyr and his late wife Katherine M. (Kane) of Walpole, and Thomas P. and Janet C. (Galvin) McGovern of Melrose.

Loving niece of Jamie M. Mitchell and her husband, Michael, of Walpole, Scott K. St. Cyr and his wife, Caitlin, of Walpole, Katie L. St. Cyr and her fiance, Mark Zwack, of Walpole, Monica J. Cave and her husband, Arnold, of Melrose, and Thomas P. McGovern of Salem.

Quin is also survived by her cousins, McKayla, Casey, Benjamin, Julie, and Corinne.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Quin's visitation on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Margaret Mary's Church, 845 High Street, Westwood, on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the New Westwood Cemetery.
