Peter A. Macdonald

Peter A. MacDonald (43) of Upton died Monday May 1st at Milford Hospital. He was the son of Gertrude (Doane) and Leo McAlice and the late J. Gerard MacDonald. He is husband to Kara (Westcott) MacDonald of Hopkinton.

Pete graduated from Walpole High School in 1980 where he was an accomplished wrestler. He then graduated from Bridgewater State College in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He has been a courier for Federal Express for the past 18 years. Pete was an avid rock climber and musician. His many favorite climbs included College Rock in Hopkinton, The Grand Tee Tons in Wyoming, Red Rocks in Las Vegas and Pocomoonshine in New York. He played lead guitar in a garage rock band. His greatest joy was his two beautiful children Maggie (4) and Kate (2).

In addition to his wife, children and parents Pete leaves behind his brothers and sisters Judith Holubesko of Walpole, Steven MacDonald of Foxboro, Thomas MacDonald of Hingham, Elizabeth Kelly of Medfield and Richard MacDonald of Camano Island WA. He leaves step brothers and sister Robert McAlice of Arvada CO., John McAlice of Pawtucket RI., Jill McAlice of Castle Rock CO., D avid McAlice of North Attleboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at the James H. Delaney and Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole, MA on Saturday May 6th. Visiting hours with the family will be from 10am-11am and the service will begin at 11am.
